It’s easy to get comfortable in your environment.
It’s easy not to notice.
It’s easy to get in the habit…
The habit of tunnel vision.
The place of repetition.
The place of routine.
This is Live Creative.
the same place
I’m in the same place.
I’m in the same job.
I’m in the same rut creatively.
But as this occurs I change in other areas of life. I grow in other areas of life.
I thought I was stuck, but perhaps I needed to be.
Perhaps I needed to be so that I could see what it was that was in front of me, to see what it is I want, to see what it is I don’t want, to see clearly, and to be present.
I’m in the same place physically, but not mentally, emotionally, or spiritually.
Someone told me recently, it’s easy to forget what you have until you’re away from it all, and honestly that’s so true. You don’t have to be away from it all physically to come to this conclusion. You could be emotionally or mentally detached, but hopefully you don’t even have to be that to realize the good that’s in front of you.
new sides
I notice new sides of the same place. I push myself to go forward without expectation or procrastination. No need to overthink or try and prepare mentally for what lies ahead. The best things happen in the spontaneity of life.
As I notice new sides of the same place, I approach new people and in turn form new connections. Lasting friendships develop and enjoyable acquaintances take place. Smiles, laughter, and love go both ways.
As I notice new sides of the same place, I discover new opportunities. New business possibilities and opportunities for work suddenly appear. Which path will I take? Paths open up and close all around.
Where I once viewed the area with a limiting view, I now view the same place with a vision for what could be and the opportunity for what lies within.
The beauty in the mundane.
The beauty in the unknown.
The beauty around the corner.
The beauty in front of you.
I now see new sides of the same place…sides which have always been there…waiting.
